According to details, a female teacher of a local private school in Gambat Tehsil of Khairpur District got married to a student of their class. Female teacher Shumaila Markhand allegedly married 9th grade student Shahzeb.
According to sources, the female teacher went missing on January 24, 2022 and a kidnapping case was registered against student Shahzeb at Gambat police station on the complaint of teacher's mother and there were speculations that she may have been abducted. The 20-year-old student also went missing that day.
However, the couple later announced their marriage in a video message on their social media account and appealed to the police and administration for protection.
