Nausheen Javaid Amjad has been appointed as the new chairperson of FBR
Nausheen Javaid Amjad has been appointed as the new chairperson of FBR while Shabbar Zaidi has been removed as the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) chairman with immediate effect.
According to the notification by the Establishment Division dated April 3, the selection committee "unanimously recommended" that Nausheen Javaid Amjad appointed as the new chairperson of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
According to the notification Shabbar Zaidi was appointed as the chairman for a period of two years on honorary basis. Nausheen Javaid Amjad is a BS-22 officer presently working as acting chairperson of the FBR in January during shabar Zaidi leave due to medical grounds.
According to the sources Shabbar Zaidi met Adviser to the Prime Minister on Revenue Dr. Hafeez Shaikh and senior officials of the finance division before going on leave and had informed that he was going to the leave for an indefinite period.
